Narrow fabric elastic tapes are essential components in intimate apparel to provide support, hold the garment in the right position, create a finished edge, and give aesthetic effects.Elongation, modulus, durability, handfeel, and aesthetics are the key criteria in the selection of narrow fabric elastic tapes for intimate apparel.The development of narrow fabric elastic tapes is discussed in terms of their functional and aesthetic aspects. The purpose of this chapter is to provide additional information for designers in their search for narrow fabric elastic tape and give them the means to incorporate these resources into their designs.
The component which performs the actual stretching is made of either rubber or a synthetic material such as spandex; this stretching component is then covered with polyester, cotton, nylon, or a combination of these or other fibers which allow it to be attached to clothing. High-quality elastic is able to be stretched to twice its original length and then return to its unflexed state without showing appreciable wear.
Elastics may be either braided, knitted, woven, or transparent.
Woven elastic is very strong, and is thicker than other forms of elastic. Woven elastic tapes are usually smoother, finer, and flatter than crochet elastic tapes. It is used for items such as upholstery and car covers. It has both crosswise and lengthwise ribs, making it resemble a window pane. It does not narrow when stretched nor is it affected by being pierced. woven elastic is usually the firmest of the three basic elastic types. It retains width as it is stretched, and is suitable for sew on applications as well as use in casings. Because it tends to be very firm, it is also suitable for heavier weight fabrics. I generally don’t cut woven elastic with much negative ease, because it will pull too much. In other words, if I’m using it in a waistband, I’ll cut the elastic to the body measurement where the waist hits, not any less.

Yes,we always do custom designs (OEM) and use standard pan-tone color. All the ribbons can be customized with your own brand logo in different process of printing and woven. It’s free to make mock-up design of some product such as labels, lanyards, embroidery patches and so on if you provide us with Adobe illustrator format file.
7.What's the main material made?
